Salesnet, a customer relationship management (CRM) software and professional services company, along with other local businesses, assisted the Duluth Cluster Schools Foundation (DCSF) with their First Annual Duluth’s Got Talent competition.
The competition was hosted by Eddie Owen Presents Red Clay Theatre in Duluth on April 21st at 2pm. Mr. Owen generously donated all ticket proceeds to DCSF, and the money raised will be used by the Foundation to fund much needed projects within the Duluth schools.
The event spotlighted student and faculty musical talent from Duluth Middle and High School, who played to a packed house. The winners included, third place, Kaitlin Marcelo, receiving a $100 cash prize donated by Salesnet. Second place winner was Shannen Dumadag, winning a $200 shopping credit at Guitar Center of Lawrenceville. And, the first place winner was Megan Blaise, who took home the grand prize of a full recording session at Duluth’s world class recording studio, Treesound.
Duluth is a culturally diverse area providing a wealth of musical talent, and sometimes challenges to community relationship building. So, DCSF is always looking for engaging ways to involve individuals and businesses, like the Duluth’s Got Talent program. DCSF looks to Duluth’s local businesses such as Eddie Owen Presents and Salesnet to help make these initiatives successful. “We value being a part of the Duluth Community and enjoy working with other organizations that are interested in giving back.
