American Resort Development Association Honors Sunset World With Award

The American Resort Development Association (ARDA), which brings together more than a thousand members of the tourism industry, rewarded the tourism consortium with an ARDY Award in the category of Best Corporate Brochure.

CEO Orlando Arroyo Marroqun and Annie Arroyo, Director of Brand & Communications, received the prestigious ARDY award at the ARDAs annual convention held in Hollywood, Florida.

The American Resort Development Association (ARDA), which brings together more than a thousand members of the tourism industry and the leisure real estate sector, honored Sunset World Resorts & Vacation Experiences with the ARDY Award in the category of Best Corporate Brochure.

CEO Orlando Arroyo Marroquín and Annie Arroyo, Director of Brand & Communications, received the prestigious ARDY award at the ARDA’s annual convention held in Hollywood, Florida.

The renowned association, now with over 40 years in existence, hosts its yearly convention in different cities of the United States in order to share the latest market trends as well as to present the influential ARDY awards to those companies that have achieved the highest degree of excellence in the vacation industry worldwide.

In addition to the ARDY Award for Best Corporate Brochure, Sunset World Resort & Vacation Experiences was also selected as a finalist in three additional categories: Logo Design (Sunset Admiral Yacht Club & Marina), Video Production (Belong, Hacienda Tres Ríos Resort Spa & Nature Park), and Marketing Management Executive (Erika Garcia of Ocean Spa Hotel/Blue Strawberry Resorts).

Headquartered in Washington, the trade association represents vacation ownership and resort development of the timeshare industry. Each year, ARDA presents the ARDY Awards to the resorts and companies that have stood out for their outstanding achievements in areas such as resort operations, design, publicity, sales and employment practices.

In years past, this renowned association has already recognized Sunset World, which owns six properties with over 1,000 suites in the Mexican Caribbean, for its excellent environmental practices and touristic quality.

From 2009 to 2011, Sunset World also garnered Gold and Silver Awards in the categories of Best Green Sustainability Program within a Resort, Best Social Media Campaign, Best Food and Beverage Program, Best Marketing Program, Resort Architecture, Site Plan Design and Utilization, Interior Design: New Resort Unit, and Signage, among others.
