IDentity Theft 911, a leader in identity management and data risk management services, is proud to announce the formation of IDT911 Consulting, a wholly owned subsidiary of IDentity Theft 911. The formation is a strategic move to enhance the company’s data risk management service capabilities. IDT911 Consulting specializes in providing proactive risk assessments and protection programs as well as swiftly reacting to data, risk, security, and privacy issues with a balanced, risk-based approach.

IDT911 Consulting has provided data breach services to more than 2,000 breach events under parent company IDentity Theft 911. With the rise of cybercrime, the protection of sensitive data has never been more important. In response to this growing need for proactive data security services, IDT911 Consulting was formed to assist companies with building customized data and operational risk management programs that will help protect information and financial assets from loss, theft or accidental exposure.

While the parent company will still provide DataRiskStages™ to businesses through their insurance carriers, IDT911 Consulting will work directly with clients to provide assessments that identify the clients’ most critical vulnerabilities and provide guidance on how to quickly enhance their information security posture inside of budget constraints and without putting undue pressure on operations.

IDT911 Consulting is led by data risk veteran Brian McGinley who serves as the subsidiary’s chief executive officer. Brian has more than 30 years of experience in risk management, security, fraud prevention and compliance, and has held senior positions at Wachovia Corporation and Citigroup. He served as chairman of the Identity Theft Assistance Center, a not-for-profit membership corporation sponsored by The Financial Services Roundtable.

“I’m excited to be spearheading a talented group of individuals that have spent decades assisting companies with their data risk plans and responses,” said McGinley. “Our cumulative experience in working with healthcare organizations, law firms, educational institutions, and other establishments with special needs makes us poised to deliver the best data risk assessments from soup to nuts.”

Joining Brian is Chief Operating Officer Deena Coffman and Chief Privacy Officer Eduard Goodman. Coffman has broad experience providing guidance to clients adopting technology or building programs relating to data privacy, data security, operational risk and electronic discovery. She is former COO of Kroll Cyber Security and Information Assurance, and also managed international projects with the Analytical and Forensic Technology group at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, and held global responsibility as the Discovery Director for Johnson & Johnson. Goodman is an internationally trained attorney and privacy expert, with more than a decade of experience in privacy law, fraud and identity management. Both hold CIPP/US certification and Goodman also holds CIPP/Canada certification.
