Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center names Erin Oldfield Director of Education and Programming effective May 6.

Mrs. Oldfield will be responsible for developing and organizing the educational programming for Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center including; adult classes and workshops, youth camps, film nights, outreach programs and creating gallery experiences for children, teens and adults.

Following a year and a half as Educator Coordinator for Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, the transition to Director of Education and Programming seems a natural one for Mrs. Oldfield. “I am excited to have the opportunity to continue the mission of Oklahoma Contemporary. The arts help us communicate in ways that teach literacy and enhance our lives. My goal is to see our existing programming grow while creating exciting new programs for the community, not only for what it teaches students about art, but for what it teaches us all about the world we live in.”

Executive Director, Mary Ann Prior, added, “We are thrilled with Erin’s transition and look forward to her enthusiasm and hard work creating new opportunities for Oklahoma Contemporary’s patrons and the community.”

Erin Oldfield graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Graphic Design. Prior to working for Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center she was an instructor at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Library System.
