Traveling for leisure is one of the most relaxing things a person can do for themselves

After a long recovery, the global economy is expected to result in individuals having more money for activities such as traveling for leisure. “Traveling for leisure is one of the most relaxing things a person can do for themselves,” explains Ruben Cross, founder and CEO of, a travel dating website that helps financially-challenged travel companions find online friends to finance their trips. By targeting the source of high-growth tourism to the United States, sites like Lady Travels can help connect men and women with individuals from countries like Brazil, Argentina, and Australia.

“The basic concept is to find people in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, or Nashville, and have them either pay to have a companion visit them or simply act as a tour guide, city expert, and friend for a few days,” Cross says. “It’s easier when we understand where majority of people who are traveling are coming from.”

The U.S. Travel Association report was released shortly before revealed the results of their first user survey, which they conducted in March. Coincidentally, male Lady Travels members declared Brazilian and Argentinian women were the most beautiful in the world. Australian and American women were considered to be the most adventurous.

Also included in the report from the U.S. Travel Association, tourism from China and Russia is expected to increase through 2016.
