Foam jacking may be used for lifting and stabilizing all types of concrete, from sidewalks and patios to interstates, railroad crossings and industrial floors.

The slab foundation of a single family home being rehabilitated by a community non-profit redevelopment organization settled around the entire perimeter of the house. In order to complete the renovation cost-effectively, the organization approached Concrete Jack about lifting the floor using foam jacking.

A Concrete Jack foam jacking crew was able to lift the floor around the entire perimeter of the home in less than a day. Because of the speed of foam jacking for slab foundation repair, the rest of the rehabilitation work was not disrupted. The work was completed using HMI RR201 high density polyurethane, which has a good balance of lifting speed and density to ensure consistent lifting and thorough stabilization.

In addition to repairing the foundation, the foam jacking crew lifted the front porch of the home, which was sloping towards the foundation, and also corrected a trip hazard in the front walkway.

The work was completed at cost, ensuring the rehabilitation stayed within budget, and that the homeowner was provided the most cost effective and long-term solution possible.

About foam jacking: Foam jacking lifts and stabilizes structures by injecting high density polyurethane foam immediately under the structure. The foam expands, which fills voids to stabilize the structure, and lift the structure as necessary. Polyurethane is lightweight, which helps to reduce the chances of resettlement by reducing the weight placed under the underlying soil.

Foam jacking may be used for lifting and stabilizing all types of concrete, from sidewalks and patios to interstates, railroad crossings and industrial floors.
