Besides the new look, version 2.0 adds optional GPS tracking and mapping of workout data...

Current fans of the app say Personal Running Trainer is like having your own running coach. Users choose a distance (1 mile, 5km, 10km, half-marathon or marathon) and the app automatically schedules workouts and voices audio coaching instructions over music that guide the user through each workout to his or her goal. Users select a music playlist from their own music library and the coaching instructions voice-over from time to time to let the user know when to run, when to change pace and when to rest.
Besides the new look, version 2.0 adds optional GPS tracking and mapping of workout data so runners can see their pace, speed and distance in real time and get a summary of their workout statistics at the end of each run. It also makes sharing workouts via Facebook, Twitter or email easy. Another big change with version 2.0 is the addition of eight more languages: French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, German, Chinese, Japanese and Russian. The app's creator, Running Records LLC, hired professional translators to record the translated coaching instructions and localize the text and images in the app.
These updates position Personal Running Trainer to be one of the biggest competitors in the healthcare and fitness genre of the Android marketplace. A 2.0 version for Apple devices is expected by the end of next month.
