I understand that many medical conditions are unavoidable, but I also think we need to do what we are personally capable of to maximize our own health
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) May 08, 2013
Family medicine physician Dr. Kristin Devor has joined OhioHealth’s Columbus medical team to accept new patients of all ages for preventative and primary care. She sees patients at Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians - Provider Physicians North, on Olentangy River Road in Columbus.
Dr. Devor, a graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, described preventative care as her main interest in becoming a doctor.
“I think it is most important to focus on taking care of the body God has given us, rather than patchwork for lifestyle choices,” she said. “I understand that many medical conditions are unavoidable, but I also think we need to do what we are personally capable of to maximize our own health.”
In her role with Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians, Dr. Devor will perform routine screenings, general illness care and management of chronic health conditions. She completed her residency in family medicine at Doctors Hospital, and is currently a member of the medical staff at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. She lives in Upper Arlington, and enjoys spending time with her family.
Along with emphasizing healthy lifestyle choices, Dr. Devor said she strives to provide compassionate and individualized care for each of her patients. She also said believes it is important that a family doctor stay in close communication with patients to answer any questions or concerns.
“I like to utilize electronic communication, as it is good way for my patients to have more direct contact with me,” she said.
