"As the President the 5S Store where I focus on floor tape that sticks, 5S products and visual control solutions, I was quite surprised that magazine publisher was being added to my title. It's a very rewarding adventure!"

With several active marketing and branding initiatives underway for their client The 5S Store of Pepperell, MA, Innerspire's CEO, Nate Lindquist announced that the launch of Effective Flow Magazine has already attracted an excellent showing of thought leaders and contributing writers from with the field of LEAN consulting, Six Sigma and the manufacturing industry as a whole. When asked about the intentions of the campaign Lindquist stated, "Our mission is to identify dormant resources and gifts in a person or business. David Visco was passionate about his craft and the support his knowledge can offer to so many businesses who just don't recognize the growing costs of their ineffective processes. He wanted to find a way to reach more people and provide insights from great minds with the best ideas in the field. In the process, we needed to show him how with his leadership the magazine could create just the right outlet for him and other thought leaders to share their knowledge and experiences in a giving and valuable way." The magazine enjoyed a soft launch in late April and intends to feature an ongoing monthly calendar centered around helping to improve the flow of people, materials and information within the manufacturing world. According to David Visco, the owner and President of The 5S Store who is also the publisher of the magazine, "I've always been fascinated by chaos and disorder because I see past it. When I see an opportunity to move a situation from ineffective and inefficient to effective and orderly, I'm juiced by it! It's like I can see operational success through the chaos."
With nearly 20 years in the warehouse optimization and material handling business and nearly a decade as the President of his own company, The 5S Store, Visco noted that, "We're very pleased with the work by Innerspire on helping us launch this exciting new venture. Our magazine is both a call to action and an invitation to collaborate. We all become great by sharing the experiences and challenges of others and with the successful launch, we've already opened doors to build new relationships and introduce thought leaders and brilliant minds in ways we could only have hoped for."
The maiden launch of the new magazine titled: "Sustaining Matters: What's in it for me?", featured an interview from well known author Mike McCarthy, author of Sustain Your Gains – The People Side of Lean-Six Sigma. On behalf of Effective Flow Magazine, Mike covers the topic of Sustaining Your Gains and specifically the impact of what he calls “The 9th Muda – or wasted improvement efforts”. In this video interview, you'll learn how the big problem is that too many Lean projects, Kaizen Events, Process Improvements, and Six Sigma projects fail to sustain. That means all of the effort, planning, and man-hours that go into these projects are wasted. - See more at: http://www.effectiveflowmagazine.com/interview/52/#sthash.H7tZh7ZR.dpuf
We took a peek at the upcoming editorial calendar that is featured in the magazine, and the feature of TPM or "Total Productive Maintenance" is sure, once again to focus on inspiring and education positive change in the businesses who choose to check this new magazine out for themselves.
