Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) May 02, 2013
TRG Healthcare (TRG), a premier healthcare consulting firm with expertise in strategy, finance, affiliations and transactions, is pleased to announce a new strategic working relationship with Susan Stegall, MBA, MHSA.
Ms. Stegall has more than twenty years of consulting experience in the laboratory segment of the healthcare industry. Her client work has included market opportunity assessments, outreach business planning, strategic planning, facility planning including Lean design, Lean Six Sigma process improvement projects, and multi-facility laboratory consolidations and regional integrations. She has also held various laboratory management roles in which she has had profit/loss responsibilities along with leadership, management and oversight of the administrative, operational and sales/marketing sectors of laboratory operations.
Ms. Stegall will serve as a subject matter expert and consulting resource to TRG’s growing laboratory business. The firm’s Laboratory Transformation Services are focused on helping hospitals and health systems enhance lab utilization, efficiencies, and revenues. This can involve bringing lab services back ‘in-house’ if currently outsourced, consolidating lab services across multiple hospitals, and/or redefining lab structure, plant, staffing and operations to benefit activities across a system. TRG assists clients in gaining a clear understanding of the impact any lab changes could have on an organization, management, and staff and, when change makes sense, TRG supports feasibility testing and execution of the preferred arrangements.
“We are pleased to have established this strategic working relationship with Susan to augment our firm’s expertise in laboratory operations and process improvement and provide our clients with access to a leading expert in the field,” said Howard Peterson, Managing Partner of TRG Healthcare. "We see a growing need for providers to optimize lab performance in the emerging market as appropriate utilization, efficiency and coordinated care become more critical and are focused on assembling the very best resources to help them meet their lab performance goals.”
Ms. Stegall has her MBA and MHSA from Arizona State University and her BS in Medical Technology from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. She is affiliated with a number of professional organizations including: Clinical Laboratory Management Association, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American College of Healthcare Executives, American Society for Quality, and the Institute of Management Consultants, USA. Ms. Stegall is certified in Lean Manufacturing Techniques and received her Lean Certification from the University of Michigan College of Engineering’s Center for Professional Development in November 2003. In addition, she has her certification as a management consultant from the Institute of Management Consulting—a distinction held by less than 1% of practicing consultants in the USA.
