E. F. Designs, Ltd., a U.S. Company, Introduces Jewelry Clasp Fit for British Royalty

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip apparently have the same problem with jewelry clasps as many American couples. “Those infernal clasps are absolutely impossible,” Prince Phillip was quoted as saying in a recent UPI news story .

E.F. Designs, Ltd. of Weehawken, New Jersey has recently introduced the world’s first self-locking jewelry clasp. The wearer merely brings the two ends of her necklace or bracelet close to each other and the ends attach and automatically lock securely. The company has been granted four U.S. patents on its invention and foreign patents are pending.

These self-locking clasps are already being sold on QVC TV under the ClickSecure® brand name and in fine jewelry stores under the Demika® name. It is anticipated that they will soon be found on better necklaces and bracelets.

With all the advancements made in science, from going to the Moon to speaking to one another all over the world on a cell phone, one wonders why it wasn’t until now that something would be invented to enable a woman to easily put on her necklaces and bracelets by herself, without the help of a husband or boyfriend.

Additional information on this new clasp is available on the company’s web site http://www.demika.com. How exciting to finally have a jewelry clasp that is a beautiful enhancement to a bracelet or necklace, and is also easy to open and close securely.
