More Cabbage LLC, a national leader in social media PR and relationship branding, announces President and Head Cabbage Chris Conant was recently honored with Convene's Infinitely Beyond Award at the 8th annual CEO Summit held this past weekend in Dallas, Texas.
Selected from hundreds of CEOs and presidents, Convene recognized two outstanding members this year for their extraordinary life's work centered on service to God, and leading a business with Kingdom values. The award's name is based on Ephesians 3:20-21 from the Bible:
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
The annual Convene Infinitely Beyond Award is given to those Convene members who have demonstrated:
•A strong commitment to Jesus Christ and honoring God in all they do;
•Humility, grace and truth when dealing with others, including his or her family;
•Experiencing God working in exceedingly abundant ways that are beyond what any human can imagine or do;
•Servant leadership of God’s business based on biblical values and principles; and
•Consistently connecting with, and building into, the lives and businesses of his or her fellow Convene members
"Chris and his wife Nancy take a moderate salary and give all of their profit to global Kingdom initiatives, including supporting more than 30 missionaries such as those on the streets helping girls away from the sex trade, to single moms laying their lives and families on the line to see addicts and the hurting impacted by God's love," said Ken Stiles, Convene Chairman. "When business sagged like it did for so many of us in 2009, rather than cut support, Chris took a loan to sustain the same level of commitment to these Kingdom initiatives. More Cabbage has since paid back the loan in full."
"Most recently," Stiles continued, "Chris and Nancy wrote their testimony into a book called Resurrection Monday, launching May 2013, that deals with living with MS and suicide, in a very hard and beautiful story about learning who we are in Christ. The story has already reached millions in North Africa, Iran and Europe as a message of hope and inspiration of how God is willing to go even to death to save a life. Their business has been funding the entire project, soon to be translated into more languages and ultimately made into a movie."
Chad Meisinger was the other recipient of Convene's Infinitely Beyond Award. Meisinger, a former Google executive is considered a top player in the Internet evolution. He is the founder of Over The Top Marketing, among other start-ups, and a key executive and principal at dMarc, a high-tech communications firm that eventually sold for $1.2 billion to Google.
