Farmington Hills, MI (PRWEB) May 01, 2013
Storage Pros Management LLC (“SPM”) (http://www.StorageProsManagement.com), announces the acquisition seven self storage facilities during the month of April, in the states of Florida (1), Massachusetts (1), Michigan (1) and Tennessee (4).
The Florida facility, located near Orlando in Fern Park, is Storage Pros’ third acquisition in six months within its newest market. The Massachusetts facility, located directly on Interstate 495 in Franklin, MA, will benefit from a planned expansion as part of a $750,000 facility upgrade. The company now operates 10 facilities in Massachusetts. The Michigan property, located in the municipality of Clarkston, is located just 15 miles north of Storage Pros’ corporate offices. Storage Pros now operates 24 facilities in the state of Michigan.
The four Tennessee properties have been in the Storage Pros system for nearly two years as managed facilities. Two are located in the Nashville suburb of Goodlettsville while two are in Knoxville. SPM now operates a total of 12 facilities in three Tennessee markets.
The two Knoxville facilities already carry the “Storage Pros” brand (http://www.thestoragepros.com), and the other five recently-acquired properties will be rebranded to the “Storage Pros Self Storage” trade name.
“We are very pleased to add these seven locations to our growing network of owned facilities,” said David Levenfeld, President and CEO of Storage Pros. “These properties add to our submarket presence and enhance brand awareness, and are consistent with our strategic growth objectives of expanding our owned portfolio within SPM’s existing management footprint.”
The acquired facilities comprise more than 3,100 storage units and 378,000 rentable square feet. Overall, Storage Pros now manages 52 facilities in seven states in New England, the Midwest and the Southeast. The properties comprise more than 3.1 million square feet of self storage space and more than 26,750 storage units and parking spaces for rent.
