"The benefits of mobile technology to the surveying industry have been proven repeatedly, with surveyors using Kykloud on handheld devices reducing surveying time by up to 50%, increasing accuracy and consistency and increasing their competitiveness

Kykloud has signed an agreement with RICS to deliver RICS approved survey templates on its mobile survey platform to support the increased use of mobile technology across the industry.
Surveyors will now have access to RICS approved survey templates to allow the industry to benefit from greater use of mobile technology, safe in the knowledge the reports they are producing meet RICS standards.
Kykloud’s surveying clients are already using iPads and mobile technology to complete surveys and are reporting significant benefits in terms of time and cost savings and increased efficiencies; as a result, the use of such technology is becoming widespread across the industry, leading to a growing demand for industry approved survey templates to be made available.
A full range of RICS compliant surveys templates will be supported by Kykloud including dilapidation surveys, commercial building surveys, stock condition surveys, planned maintenance surveys, energy and carbon audits, housing surveys and valuation surveys will soon be available to Kykloud subscribers.
Ed Bartlett, CEO at Kykloud, licensed providers of the survey templates added: “Over the past 12 months, the benefits of mobile technology to the surveying industry have been proven repeatedly, with surveyors using iPad technology reducing surveying time by up to 50%, increasing accuracy and consistency across portfolio-wide schemes and increasing their competitiveness, resulting in successful tenders.
“With such obvious commercial benefits, the proportion of the industry looking to adopt mobile technology in to their working practice is on the increase, but naturally, some surveyors have expressed caution and concerns over whether the reports they produce and the data they collect is being stored in accordance with their professional obligations.
"Kykloud technology is already being used safely and securely by a number of leading surveying firms, but RICS compliant template surveys will offer extra reassurance to individuals and organisations who are at present slightly hesitant about using mobile technology.”
