It has been reported in E consultancy that the E consultancy/ Monetate Realities of Personalisation report demonstrates that although 43% of companies currently provide a personalised experience on desktop, only 14% manage to on tablet and just 13% on mobile. Across both devices, 54% of participants claimed that they planned to adopt personalisation within the next year. The report, carried out in February, was based on a survey of more than 1,100 digital and ecommerce professionals working for brands and agencies.
The specialists at SEO Positive offer a full range of digital marketing services and have taken a keen interest in the growth of mobile search in recent months. As such the news naturally caught their attention and Managing Director, Ben Austin, shares his thoughts on the subject.
“Whilst it is positive to hear that so many online businesses are providing a personalised service on desktops, the truth is that mobiles and tablets are taking more and more of the search share, therefore it couldn’t be more important to optimise for mobiles. Although some respondents said they would be introducing this in the next month, often these good intentions can fall by the wayside when more pressing matters arise, however our advice would be to prioritise optimising for mobiles.”
The team at SEO Positive look forward to reviewing further figures in the area.
