The PPI claims scandal has been all over the press and media in the last three years, both through news coverage and through adverts for PPI claims companies. The fact that PPI has been mis sold is now firmly established, but now MissoldPPIClaimsCo.co.uk have released an infographic all about the lesser-known figures behind the scandal.

People are fed up with hearing endless TV and radio adverts about mis sold PPI, so we thought; lets give them something more interesting to read about.

The mis-selling of payment protection insurance (PPI) has already cost UK banks over £13bn, with an estimated £10bn more in refunds expected before the saga ends according to: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/9850222/Bank-PPI-compensation-money-will-run-out-by-December.html. It is already officially the largest compensation scheme the UK has ever seen, with many of the well-known and trusted High street banks embroiled in the scandal.

Mis sold PPI has created a whole industry of claims companies, all dedicated to helping people seek compensation and one of these companies has released an infographic revealing the facts and figures behind the PPI claims scandal.

The infographic, produced by Manchester-based MissoldPPIClaimsCo.co.uk, reveals 20 facts and figures about the mis sold PPI scandal, including the total amount refunded so far, the average payout and even how much PPI companies have made from the mis-selling.

Speaking about the infographic, researcher John Gregory commented: 'Working in and writing about the PPI industry exposes you to all sorts of facts and statistics. Most come through the media but some are released by the FSA and FOS and they're usually always eye-watering.'

He added: 'Having never seen all of the figures together in one place, we decided it was time to put them all into a funky infographic and share them with the British public. People are fed up with hearing about new compensation set-asides or endless TV and radio adverts about PPI, so we thought; lets give them something more interesting about.'
