Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 06, 2013
CSG Government Solutions, a national leader in government program modernization, today announced that it has been selected by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) to facilitate the implementation of the International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) code set into the State’s healthcare systems processes.
ICD-10 codes are used to identify medical diagnoses and procedures on administrative transactions. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) mandates that state Medicaid agencies be prepared to process ICD-10 coded transactions by October 1, 2014. CSG will provide project management, business analysis, and testing support to the transition project.
”ICD-10 is a major challenge for state governments, affecting virtually every policy, process, and system,” says Andrea Danes, Director of CSG’s Healthcare and Human Services practice. “We are excited to be working with Wisconsin and other states in this important effort.”
CSG Government Solutions continues to increase its presence across the United States. The company deploys highly experienced teams and innovative methods, knowledge, and tools to help governments modernize complex program enterprises. CSG clients include 37 state governments, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Labor, and large municipal governments.
