Kent police have released CCTV images of a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery of a bookmakers in Tunbridge Wells – reports This Is Kent on April 30, 2013.

The online newspaper reports that the man, thought to be in his mid fifties and wearing a black jacket, woolly hat and gloves, walked into the Betfred shop on April 24 at 8.50am and told the cashier he had a gun, demanding they hand over cash. While the shop worker did not see a weapon, they took the threat seriously and gave the robber £500.

PC Catherine Ruler told This Is Kent: "No-one was hurt, but the cashier was quite shaken up by the episode.

"Thankfully, the CCTV images are very clear. It doesn't seem as if the offender made much of an effort to cover or obscure his face.”
