First Movie by the Talked About New Indie Producer Joseph Hovey Calhoun Jr.

Independent motion picture production company Clear Jet Motion Pictures has completed the filming of its first feature film, tentatively titled "Big Bear Massacre." The movie was written and directed by music video maker Rock Jacobs and produced by Joseph Calhoun Jr.

According to studio spokesperson Jake Henderson, the film is targeted at a teen audience sure to be pleased by its riveting storyline and special effects.

“We’re now in the process of final editing,” says Henderson. “But I think I can guarantee filmgoers will find this a pleasing cinematic surprise. Our aim was to provide an evening’s entertainment for suspense aficionados—and I’m confident we’ve succeeded big time with this first offering."

Writer-director Rock Jacobs agrees. “We had great fun conjuring up a nightmare. Those who have viewed the rushes assure us the film will be a favorite with viewers looking for a Saturday night thrill.”

Executive producer Joseph Calhoun Jr. says he chose the Big Bear, California filming location to associate with past horror thriller themes, but also because of an attraction to the geography and accessibility of the set.

“We scouted locales and this one lent itself perfectly to the mixture of terror and juxtaposed Americana our script called for. I’ll definitely consider it for a sequel.” Calhoun is already at work on a new film called “Jackson Street Killer,” set to begin filming in late August. Written by Joseph Hovey Calhoun Jr., it will be the second of Clear Jet’s productions.

The thriller will be filmed in the Gary, Indiana neighborhood music icon Michael Jackson lived in as a youngster. Whether that plays into the film’s plot is a secret.

Besides heading up Clear Jet Motion Pictures, businessman Calhoun oversees diverse other enterprises including independent film distribution company The Film Factory Inc. and the social media website, a networking site for cinema professionals.

Director Rock Jacobs is meanwhile planning an upcoming summer flick "Fast Life," featuring actress Mischa Barton.
