Certificate of Completion to be Offered

The Continental Group (TCG), a FirstService Residential Management company, is hosting a free condominium board certification course designed to address the most critical aspects of day-to-day condominium operations on Thursday, May 9. The event will take place at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts, located at 5551 Ridgewood Drive in Naples, FL. A light lunch and a vendor expo will take place at 11:00 a.m., followed by the course at noon. Mitchell Krauss, Value Engineering Manager for The Continental Group will moderate and a representative from the law firm of Goede, Adamczyk & DeBoest, PLLC will be featured.    

This course is part of the statewide Continental Certified Educational Program™ (ConCert) series and is open to any condominium board member who wishes to attend. Upon completion of the course, newly elected or appointed condominium board members will receive a certificate of completion that satisfies Florida legal requirements for condominium association board members.

As the leading Florida property management company, TCG shares best practices in the communities it serves to help enhance board effectiveness and efficiency. Participants will be offered guidance in the areas of the rights, roles and responsibilities of their position, quorum and meeting requirements, financial reporting and obligations and how to take a practical approach in running a condominium business. A review of documents that govern associations will be highlighted, including Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R), Master Deeds, Articles of Incorporations and Bylaws and Resolutions.
