Boulder, Colorado (PRWEB) May 03, 2013
This weekend is the 139th renewal of the Kentucky Derby and with it is the 2013 Boulder Derby Party. The Boulder Derby Party benefits Front Range Hippotherapy, a Colorado 501c3 organization in the Boulder/Longmont area, that provides physical, occupational and speech therapy for individuals with mental and physical disabilities.
A variety of sponsors helped put on the event including Connect First, Ferrari-Maserati of Denver, Kelty, and Century Link (among many others). Chief Operating Officer, Dan Candee of Connect First stated, “The work Front Range Hippotherapy does for the Colorado disabled community is tremendous. Sun or snow they are out there with the individuals and horses improving lives, and it’s momentous. We are happy just to know them, and to be able to support their work is a really cool blessing.”
What can a person expect at a derby party? After arriving touting your best Derby garb, eat gourmet food and drink delicious beverages, including the classic Kentucky Derby drink, mint juleps. Support Front Range Hippotherapy further by participating in live and silent auctions, then make your way to the dance floor complete with DJ and live music. Of course this wouldn’t be a derby party without watching the “greatest 2 minutes of sports.” The festivities take place Saturday, May 4 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the CU Stadium Club at Folsom Field. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.boulderderby.com and proceeds from the party benefit Front Range Hippotherapy. Food and beverages are included in the ticket price.
