Hidden Hearing Respond to Deaf Awareness Week

Experts in private hearing healthcare, Hidden Hearing, has responded to Deaf Awareness Week taking place this week.

The annual event aims to raise awareness and understanding of all the issues surrounding deafness and is supported by a number of local and national charities.

Deaf Awareness Week is taking place from the 6th – 12th May, organised by the UK council on Deafness.

The annual event aims to raise awareness and understanding of all the issues surrounding deafness and is supported by a number of local and national charities.

The theme for the week this year is ‘Get involved / get aware!’ which aims to highlight the positive aspect of being deaf aware, from a greater understanding of the condition to providing information on communication tips.

A spokesperson from Hidden Hearing said:

“During Deaf Awareness Week, we will continue to provide our free hearing test service and in addition will be providing information on the Hidden Hearing website containing useful tips on how to communicate with people who are hard of hearing.”
