Cheap Web Design’s experts have been studying everything released pertaining to Google Penguin, as have many other top businesses around the world. In an article released by PRWeb, London business Overthrow Digital has announced it has launched a new website in advance of the Penguin release. The business has stated that while they do believe Penguin will affect a number of websites, those who use legitimate marketing techniques and use good links won’t be harmed.
When Google released its large Panda update to its search algorithm last year, businesses and ecommerce web design experts fell into panic. While this update was designed to defeat spam, plagiarists, and content farms, it also hurt legitimate businesses and other websites. Penguin may look ready to cause as much harm, but some are expecting it to only come down hard on online merchants who use questionable marketing strategies.
Penguin aims to look at metrics such as original content, relevant links, and unique selling propositions. Those merchants who only use above-board marketing techniques have little to fear. Penguin will specifically target websites whose search engine position relies on bad links. The more bad links a site has pointing towards it, the more likely it will find itself lower on the results list. Penguin will also take into account how quickly a site acquires links.
Google has prepared websites for Penguin by releasing their Link Disavow Tool. “By releasing the Link Disavow Tool,” said Samuel Junghenn of Cheap Web Design, “Google is helping business owners to mark sites which are linking to them without permission as links the site does not want.” This tool will let website designing services effectively block bad links that point to a site, which will in turn protect that site from being marked as a weak site by Penguin.
