The Fit Body Boot Camp locations in La Mesa & North Park are providing residents a chance to experience a 30-day professionally guided workout program with nutritional support and the ability to track their weight loss for a donation of just $49, with a portion of proceeds to go to Rady Children’s Hospital. Brawley and his team of trainers will put each participant through a nutritional consult before beginning the program and will help them reach their personal goals while assisting San Diego to reach its target of shedding 1,000 pounds.
Fit Body Boot Camp is the leading indoor boot camp with locations in 5 countries. The sessions are designed around the Unstoppable Fitness Formula to keep the boot campers pushing their bodies to reach new levels. The workouts are specially formulated to keep the participants burning fat even after the workout. The lack of machines and giant racks of weights won’t keep the boot campers from dropping the weight this summer; as all locations use only the most cutting edge circuit training methods and functional training equipment, such as bands, balls, ropes, and free weights.
“It is imperative that we inspire more people to become healthy and participate in exercise that isn’t just good for them but is fun and is in a positive environment,” said JJ Brawley. “It isn’t what you think of a boot camp, no one is yelling at you, it is a great active paced workout from beginning to end that jump starts your body into wanting to be active.”
The 1,000-pound Melt-Down Challenge is Fit Body Boot Camp’s way to encourage entire cities or organizations to lose weight with a goal in site. A recent study in the New England Journal of Medicine found that people with close bonds set a great example for one another; if they gain weight together they can also lose it together. The 1,000 Melt-Down Challenge is a way to help millions of Americans fight the obesity epidemic. Nearly every 2 in 3 adults are overweight; with tens of thousands dying from heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer each day.
Fit Body Boot Camp was launched in 2009 and has leveraged success in over 290 boot camp locations worldwide. It was created to drive fitness, wellness and personal training into a fun group training setting. The Founders bring over two decades of fitness, personal and group training experience to their organization. The 1,000 pound Melt-Down Challenge is open to any participant seeking to reach their fitness goals.
