Our website is a key part of our marketing and outreach strategy, and now we are tapping into the power of crowdfunding as a way to generate the funds we need to improve it.

Adventures in Preservation (AiP) is launching an online campaign to bring a new version of their website to life. The website is designed to serve AiP participants and attract the expanding number of experiential travelers who embrace the combination of travel and learning.

AiP’s new website was designed pro-bono by a talented volunteer. The non-profit group is now raising money to fund its full implementation. Their aim is to raise US$4,500 by July 15 , using the Canadian service FundRazr as their crowdfunding platform.

The new website will incorporate several features that will highlight not only the experiential travel opportunities available but also the many benefits AiP’s innovative preservation programming brings to the communities it serves. Most critically, it will help AIP reach the growing number of people who use mobile devices to research travel opportunities.

The AiP website is the organization’s key to communicating their story and serving both participants and project communities. AiP co-founder Jamie Donahoe says “The Internet is a vital tool for non-profits. Our website is a key part of our marketing and outreach strategy, and now we are tapping into the power of crowdfunding as a way to generate the funds we need to improve it.”

Many communities are dependent on AiP’s growth and operational effectiveness to have any hope of preserving their built heritage. By establishing a more robust infrastructure, with the necessary resources to ensure sustained success, AiP will be able to confidently continue carrying out its mission.

Adventures in Preservation is a non-profit organization connecting people and preservation through enriching experiential programs that safeguard cultural heritage. One- and two-week hands-on volunteer vacations give participants the opportunity to travel, experience their destination, and learn hands-on skills while saving a valuable historic resource. AiP envisions a world where people use, understand, and appreciate historic buildings that are vital to economic and environmental sustainability.
