The Men's Ministry of Providence Baptist Church (Rodney Maiden, Senior Pastor) is proud to present it's annual Father's Day event Sunday, June 16th @ The Manor Center Complex (24111 Rockwell Drive, Euclid, OH 44117). This year's event will feature gospel recording star Marvin Sapp live in concert.

Sapp - a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan - received his Doctor of Divinity degree from Aenon Bible College, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Friends International Christian University. Sapp was first introduced to the gospel community in 1991 by the legendary Fred Hammond, as a six year member of the vocal group Commissioned. In 1996 he embarked on his solo recording career, having since released 8 solo LP's. Sapp is best known for his song “Never Would Have Made It” off of his 2007 album “Thirsty.” “Never Would Have Made It” peaked at #14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, #82 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and also at #1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart. “Thirsty” debuted at #28 on the U.S. Billboard 200, #4 on the U.S. Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and also #1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Gospel Albums. It has been certified gold by the RIAA, making it Sapp's best selling album of his solo career, and has so far sold over 712,000 copies. In 2009, Sapp won all seven Gospel Stellar Awards that he was nominated for. Marvin's brother, Henn Sapp, an accomplished Christian comedian, will also be on the bill opening up for his brother's Father's Day performance.

The $60.00 price of admission includes the comedy of Henn Sapp and gospel music great Marvin Sapp live in concert, along with a gourmet dinner. Doors open at 4pm, and dinner will be served promptly at 5pm. The Providence Men's Ministry invites one and all to come fellowship with their family for Father's Day 2013.
