Discovery Chicago Hires Two Senior Vice Presidents in Scientific Strategies and Account Management

Wolf Gallwitz and Simriti Ranajee bring nearly 50 years of industry experience to leading medical communications agency

Discovery Chicago, a global high-science communications agency and part of Publicis Healthcare Communications Group, announced the appointment of Drs. Wolf Gallwitz to Senior Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer and Simriti Ranajee to Senior Vice President, Account Director. “These hires represent our ongoing commitment to high-science brands and our continued transformation of Discovery as a global network,” said Don Young, Group Managing Director.

As Chief Scientific Officer, Wolf leads the scientific services team to produce commercial scientific content across a range of therapeutic categories. He will also be the primary scientific resource for new business; connecting experts from other work streams to deliver differentiated insights for prospects and clients. Wolf joins Discovery Chicago with more than three decades of experience in healthcare marketing, communications, clinical research and business development. His career spans executive roles in major agency and pharmaceutical companies, including GSW Worldwide, Cline Davis Mann and sanofi-aventis.

Most recently, Wolf served as VP, Account Director for GSW Worldwide, where he was responsible for the Eli Lilly Alimta global account. In addition to his work in pharmaceutical marketing, Wolf is a published author in peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Clinical Investigation, Clinical Orthopedics and Molecular Endocrinology.

Simriti (Simi) Ranajee is responsible for the global client operations, new business and advocacy support. She brings more than 25 years of progressive experience in marketing, business development, management direct sales, and channel sales to Discovery Chicago. Simi comes to Discovery Chicago from Abbott, where she served both an advocacy and global commercial marketing role in Companion Diagnostics. Prior to Abbott, she served as President and Chief Marketing Officer at Performance Health Systems; marketing a medical device incorporating advantages of muscular load on the skeletal system for osteoporosis and osteopenia. At Power Plate International, she was Global Vice President of Healthcare Initiatives, utilizing Power Plate as alternative modality for therapy for neuromuscular diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Sclerosis. Earlier in her career, Simi was named one of Chicago’s ‘Rising Stars’ by Today’s Chicago Woman.
