The Eagles are taking off again this summer. They’ve booked a 21-date tour called History of the Eagles, set to take flight at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky on July 6, 2013.
Tickets to some concerts were first released in late March. Seven more shows went on sale yesterday, lighting up search traffic for seats once again. The trek is on top of the band’s recent documentary, which aired on Showtime last month. The three-disc set on DVD and Blu-ray was just released as well.
After Louisville, stops include Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 7; the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on July 9; the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario on July 11; the Salmon Festival 2013 at Centennial Park in Grand Falls, Newfoundland and Labrador on July 13; the Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario on July 15; and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 16.
The band then performs at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on July 18; the Comcast Center in Boston, Massachusetts on July 19; the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. on July 22; the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 23; the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in in Bethel, New York on July 25; and the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia on September 6.
Next on the schedule: Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta on September 9; the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta on September 11; the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on July 14; the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 16; the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 18; and the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on September 20. Currently, the wrap is set for The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan on September 21.
Based on buzz from the band’s website, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit will perform their classic hits, including “Hotel California,” “New Kid In Town,” “Take It To The Limit,” “One Of These Nights,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Rocky Mountain Way,” “Best Of My Love” and “Take It Easy.” Tracks from the individual band members’ solo catalogs will also be featured.
“The Eagles are one of the top rock bands in history, making it a forgone conclusion that ticket sales activity will take off,” said Felina Martinez at online ticket marketplace BuyAnySeat.com. “Similar to past tours, it is anticipated that all of their shows will exceed capacity.”

History of the Eagles made its television broadcast debut on Showtime last month, earning the network its highest ratings for a music documentary in eight years. In addition, Part One premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
