The Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) named eCapital Advisors one of the Fastest-Growing Women-Owned/led companies in North America in its 6th annual program sponsored by American Express OPEN, the small business division of American Express. eCapital Advisors, an award winning Premier IBM Business Partner, specializing in business analytics and information management technology was listed among 50 companies that generated a combined $3.2 billion in 2012 revenues and collectively employed 24,000 people in 2012.

Occupying the number 45 spot in the top 50 ranking, eCapital Advisors was one of only two Minnesota-based companies recognized by the WPO. Partner Lisa David accepted the award at the Dallas Ceremony for her work in driving revenue growth over 125% from 2009 to 2012.

“We are honored to be included in the WPO rankings among such diverse, successful women-owned and led companies,” said Lisa David, partner. “We are extremely grateful to our fantastic team of employees and loyal customers who continue to support our services—without either of them, we could not have reached our ambitious business goals that put us on this list.”

As a result of their explosive growth in the business-driven technology market, eCapital Advisors recently expanded their Minneapolis headquarters to a new location and hired more than 20 new employees in 2012. eCapital Advisors has consultants working in businesses nationwide in addition to offices in Minnesota and Texas.

This is the first year eCapital Advisors was recognized by the WPO Top 50 ranking. eCapital Advisors has been recognized twice by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal Fast 50 Growing Private Company rankings in both 2012 and 2008.

“This year more than half of the companies in the Top 50 are new to the ranking and this trend illustrates how diverse women-owned and led companies are,” said Marsha Firestone, Ph. D., president and founder of WPO. “We are so pleased to continue our partnership with American Express OPEN in honoring these trailblazing women and their amazing accomplishments.”

All submitted companies were ranked according to a sales growth formula combining percentage and absolute growth. From this list, the 50 Fastest were selected. To be qualified for the ranking, businesses are required to be privately held, woman-owned/led companies in the U.S. or Canada and reached annual revenue of at least $500,000 in 2007 and $2 million in 2012.
