New York, NY (PRWEB) May 08, 2013
The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest nutrition school, is proud to announce that it has donated over $10,000 to Earth Day Network’s healthy schools initiative. The movement is dedicated to bringing attention to the connection between school environments, student health, and academic success.
“I founded Integrative Nutrition with the mission to make the world a healthier, happier place,” said Integrative Nutrition Founder, Director, and Primary Teacher Joshua Rosenthal, MScEd. “This Earth Day, we decided to make an even bigger impact by joining forces with an organization that shares in our core values and champions children’s health and environmental sustainability. Supporting organizations like Earth Day Network is crucial for the future of our planet. I’m thrilled that this Earth Day initiative was such a success.”
On April 20, 2013, Integrative Nutrition committed to donating $50 for every student who enrolled in the Health Coach Training Program in honor of Earth Day. With an enrollment of over 200 students, Integrative Nutrition succeeded in donating more than $10,000 to Earth Day Network’s healthy schools initiative. The campaign strives to improve the quality of school environments and promote children’s health and academic careers.
This donation is part of Integrative Nutrition’s greater charitable giving efforts and commitment to creating a major shift in the world by the year 2020 – a plan Integrative Nutrition calls the 2020 Vision. The vision is founded on the philosophy that good health is a vehicle for making the world a better place, and everyone benefits from supporting organizations that promote nutrition education, fight childhood obesity, feed low-income populations, protect the environment, and more.
To that end, Integrative Nutrition has donated over $450,000 in recent years to charities and organizations that are working towards a healthier future. Integrative Nutrition also strives to support its students and graduates by recognizing initiatives and endeavors that serve their communities.
“We each can accomplish incredible things on our own, but together, we can truly change the world,” said Rosenthal. “I am constantly inspired by the passion of Integrative Nutrition students and graduates, and I’m confident that together our actions will spread a ripple effect of health and happiness throughout our communities and beyond.”
