The report focuses on vendors that provide technology that helps IT vendors get more value from their sales and marketing investments.

  •         Sales and marketing leaders at IT providers should investigate external (third-party) service providers that can augment internal processes to enhance brand recognition, sustain customer loyalty and drive revenue.
  •      IT providers with a reasonable partner base size should assume they must bear the heavy lifting of end-to-end marketing execution through their channel. Realign investment away from partner-­controlled marketing toward integrated channel marketing automation, unless your channel has proved its ability to execute on your programs.
  •      IT providers should link communication efforts to revenue opportunities for partners to increase urgency and follow through.
