Stephanie Baker of The Kroger Co. was presented with the 2013 Technical Service Award from The Association for Dressings and Sauces (ADS) during the Association’s 2013 Technical Meeting. The meeting was held at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina, April 28 – 30.
Each year, the ADS Technical Service Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated dedicated service to the ADS technical programs. Nominations for this award are taken from the general ADS membership and then voted on by the ADS Executive Technical Board, the group that oversees the Association’s technical activities.
“Winning this award is truly an honor for me,” said Ms. Baker. “It is extremely fulfilling to be recognized by your industry colleagues for your work.”
Ms. Baker is the Manager Grocery Product Development at The Kroger Co. She is responsible for managing the effort for Product Development and Technical Services for seven grocery products manufacturing facilities. Ms. Baker earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Kentucky University and Master of Science in Food Science from University of Maine, Orono.
During Ms. Baker’s membership with ADS, she has contributed her time and technical expertise to many of the Association’s committees and projects. She has served on the ADS Executive Technical Board, participated as a speaker during the Technical Meeting and served on various ADS subcommittees working on projects to benefit members.
