We’ll help lift up the state of New Jersey and its residents. This is our story. These are our neighbors. We are so thankful to feel loved and not forgotten.

Social Media Moms, a united group of mothers active in social media, and New Jersey Digital Moms, a network of mothers and strong business leaders in New Jersey, announced today more than 40 women from across the country will convene for the first time ever in Atlantic City from June 6- June 9th to raise awareness for and promote the re-opening of the Jersey Shore for the 2013 summer season. The four-day #JerseyLove Retreat, hosted by Caesar’s Entertainment and D6 Sports, is designed to encourage consumers to visit the Jersey Shore post Superstorm Sandy.

"Social Media Moms are women who practice social good on a daily basis, not for ulterior motives but for the sake of making this world a better place,” said Kadi Prescott, founder of Social Media Moms. “We are honored to team up with the New Jersey Digital Moms to help rebuild what was so cruelly taken from them by Sandy. Together, we’ll flex our influence muscles and show the world the heart of social media," she said.

The #JerseyLove Retreat kicks off with activities such as a Taste of Caesar’s dining event, wine tasting, Ladies Night Out at Harrah’s Pool After Dark and a shopping trip to support local businesses. On Friday June 7, the group will travel to Belmar, one of the hardest hit towns along the shoreline, for a beach day event where skimboard and surf lessons will be provided courtesy of D6 Sports.

"I find few things more inspiring than powerful women coming together to activate their social influence,” commented Elizabeth Norton, Founder of New Jersey Digital Moms. “We’ll help lift up the state of New Jersey and its residents. This is our story. These are our neighbors. We are so thankful to feel loved and not forgotten."

Retreat organizers Dawn Sandomeno,, and Natalie Klein,, have been working with Caesar’s Entertainment, the city of Belmar and D6 Sports to put together a memorable event bringing together influencers from across the country to foster a sense of community and bring national awareness to a state that relies heavily on its shore to create revenue.

D6 Sports and the #JerseyLove Retreat group will present Mayor Matt Doherty with a donation to the Belmar Relief and Recovery foundation that was created to assist displaced families and help rebuild the Belmar Boardwalk.

“I am a New Jersey native, so it was very important for me to get our company involved with such a great event that is focused on encouraging people to go back to the beaches this summer,” said Ben Young, Vice President of Creative and Marketing for D6 Sports. “I have hundreds of friends and family who were affected by Sandy, so this initiative hits home for me.”

#JerseyLove is the first in a new breed of influencer projects. Social Media for Social Good (#SoGo) will continue to create projects with a purpose – to love and take care of one another through physical support and storytelling.

People across the country can follow the event activities in real-time as the attendees will be live tweeting their experiences using the hashtag #JerseyLove.
