Pilatesology, a website dedicated to preserving and sharing classical Pilates, offers streaming class videos of pure Pilates to provide anyone, at any level, their own in-home Pilates workout.

In celebration of National Pilates Month this month, Pilatesology, a website dedicated to preserving and sharing classical Pilates, introduces the 30 Session Challenge and 14 online classes. The unique resource offers streaming class videos of pure Pilates led by renowned teachers to provide anyone, at any level, their own in-home Pilates workout.

The 30 Session Challenge on Pilatesology was created in the spirit of Joseph Pilates who once said, “in 30 sessions you will have a new body,” to motivate members to complete 30 sessions in 8 weeks or less. In addition to the challenge, Pilatesology is launching 14 new classes this month to offer members the opportunity to train online with leading Pilates experts including celebrity trainer Mari Winsor of Winsor Pilates, Chris Robinson, Oprah Winfrey’s Pilates trainer, and Jay Grimes, one of the last living teachers who worked for Joe Pilates.

Pilatesology is the only online resource offering solely pure Pilates, true to the way Joseph Pilates himself taught, where anyone, at any level, can have an in-home Pilates workout, and instructors can find a wealth of information to understand the authentic teaching of Pilates.

Developed by husband and wife team, Alisa Wyatt, a Pilates instructor who trained under Joseph Pilates’ chosen protégé, Romana Kryzanowska, and Jack Coble, photographer, Pilatesology is focused on keeping Joseph Pilates’ traditional work alive. “Our goal with Pilatesology is to be able to share the transformative powers of Pilates so people can experience the life-changing benefits,” shared Alisa Wyatt, Chief Pilates Officer, Pilatesology. “In addition, we hope that our focus on pure Pilates will help to preserve the method for future generations,” added Alisa.

Pilatesology features a dynamic and growing library of more than 260 classes, with new offerings added weekly, and allows members to select classes by:

-Type of class, ranging from mat classes with no equipment needed to apparatus classes, on Reformer, Cadillac, and Wunda Chair, among others,

-Workout level, from beginner to super advanced,
-Body needs, from arms, back, chronic pain, pre-natal, to whole body,
-Duration, from ten to 90 minutes,

All classes on Pilatesology are led by professional Pilates teachers and experts. Founder, Alisa Wyatt spent over a decade studying with the last remaining teachers who worked for Mr. Pilates, and has brought a community of the most respected teachers in the world together on Pilatesology.

For members new to Pilates, Pilatesology offers a Beginner’s Guide with introductory videos on Pilates Home Practice, Pilates Fundamentals; a Self Assessment test, and numerous Pilates Basics classes. The site also allows members to rate videos, make comments, share classes through email or social media, and easily save classes as favorites to access again. Classes can be viewed on a computer, iPad, smartphone, or HDTV.
