We are constantly working to make nonprofit finances so simple that a non-accountant can do them quickly and accurately.
Fresno, CA (PRWEB) May 08, 2013
Aplos Software, LLC released Aplos Accounting 3.0 this week, the latest version of the web-based accounting software designed for nonprofits and churches. The new release includes an intuitive user interface, a dashboard with a snapshot of the organization’s finances, and more connectivity between other Aplos Software products. In addition, Aplos Accounting made the customizable contact database for vendors and donors a standard feature for all subscribers.
Aplos Accounting’s web-based fund accounting software is designed for churches and nonprofits. The new dashboard in Aplos 3.0 reminds users about tasks they need to complete, gives them a snapshot of their finances and shows recent activity. The accounting interface has also been simplified with new navigation so users can quickly complete common tasks. Aplos Accounting now provides convenient access to Aplos e-File, which helps nonprofits to securely prepare their IRS returns and file them electronically with the IRS. Aplos Software is an authorized IRS e-file provider and has successfully filed returns for thousands of nonprofits.
“Aplos 3.0 is just the beginning in a series of new features we will be sharing with our customers to make it even easier to manage the finances of a nonprofit, said Tim Goetz, CPA and co-founder of Aplos Software. “We are constantly working to make nonprofit finances so simple that a non-accountant can do them quickly and accurately.”
The newest version of the nonprofit accounting software now also offers a customizable contact database for donors and payees as a standard feature for all Aplos Accounting subscribers. Contacts are automatically generated as organizations add income and expense transactions and may be customized by adding custom fields and photos. The contact database was formerly a popular optional Aplos app that users could purchase for $1.99 per month.
“We made the contact database a standard feature because information about donors paired with accurate financial records is essential for the stability of a nonprofit. We wanted that information to be at the fingertips of every organization,” said Tim Goetz.
Other available optional Aplos Accounting apps include contribution management, budgeting, bank reconciliation and check printing. As a web-based software, all subscribers automatically receive the new version of Aplos Accounting, so no downloads are required. Other benefits of Aplos as a Cloud-based software include the ability to access the software from any location with an Internet connection, have multiple users with role-based permissions, and automatically back-up data. Aplos Accounting pricing starts at $11.99 per month for the base accounting software for one user. Pricing increases to $30.95 per month for up to five users with all available optional apps, but more user options are available for larger organizations. Nonprofits can register for a 15-day free trial of Aplos Accounting at http://www.aplossoftware.com.
