Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) May 09, 2013
Hollywood stars and celebrity guests are set to attend the red carpet world premiere of ‘The Magic Bracelet’ at the WGA Theater (Writers Guild of America) in Beverly Hills on May 18th, 2013 for Make A Film Foundation.
‘The Magic Bracelet’ is a story by 15-year-old Rina Goldberg. Rina's dream was to see her story turned into a film. Unfortunately, Rina lost her valiant battle with Mitochondrial Disease in December 2010, but some of her last words to her Mom were, “Promise you'll take care of my film.”
Make A Film Foundation did just that when they engaged some of Hollywood’s most prominent filmmakers and talent to volunteer.
Academy Award-winning writer Diablo Cody (‘Juno’) adapted Rina's story into a short film script, and director/producer, Jon Poll (‘Charlie Bartlett’) directed. The film stars Bailee Madison (‘Parental Guidance’), Academy Award-nominated Hailee Steinfeld (‘True Grit’), Kaitlin Doubleday ('Catch Me If You Can'), Jackson Rathbone ('Twilight' Franchise), J.K. Simmons (‘Spiderman’) and James Van Der Beek (‘Dawson's Creek’).
