Math + Fun = Mathseeds
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 09, 2013
Based on the key teaching principle that the most effective learning takes place while having fun, Mathseeds combines educationally sound online math games and lessons with highly engaging and motivational elements. With each online math lesson, children are introduced to a new mathematical concept, progressing through 9 math games created by educational experts.
Completing these math games allows the child to practice a new skill and apply it in a variety of different situations, helping build their confidence along with their mathematical concepts. Vibrant animations, catchy songs, playful sound effects and multiple rewards make completing the online math games fun and keep children motivated to learn.
Early lessons focus on numbers, counting and shape recognition. Later lessons build skills in addition, subtraction and measurement, and then early multiplication and division are introduced.
Children progress through the online math lessons at their own pace and are rewarded for their achievements. All online math lessons and math games can be repeated as often as necessary so that children can revise and consolidate skills. Each online math lesson ends with an e-book that reinforces the concept taught in the lesson. The e-book can be read independently or children can listen to the narration as they read along.
At the end of each map children complete a multiple-choice quiz to assess what they have learned. If they pass, they are rewarded with a certificate that can be printed out as a reminder of their success and achievement. Parents are provided with a dashboard to show their child’s mathematical progress.
Mathseeds is compatible with PC, Mac, iPad and Android tablets.
