London, UK (PRWEB UK) 10 May 2013
CEOs and infrastructure leaders from Etisalat, France Telecom – Orange, Wananchi Group, IHS Africa, Helios Towers Africa, Eaton Towers and O3B Networks are among the telecom speakers announced so far for the 4th annual TMT Finance & Investment Africa conference (http://www.tmtfinance.com/africa) which takes place at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London.
Barclays Capital, IFC, ING, Lazard, Rand Merchant Bank, Standard Bank and UBS are among the financial institutions with key speakers announced on the programme. Experts from Ericsson’s industrial relations division, Huawei’s head of non-performing assets for EMEA, and sector leaders from Analysys Mason and Ernst Young will also be speaking on new opportunities for investment.
Mobile infrastructure investment strategies will form a key discussion point of the conference as advisers are predicting another surge of sale and outsourcing deals across the region in 2013.
“All of the major operators in Africa are continuing to streamline operations and outsource non-core assets such as telecom infrastructure,” one senior telecom banker told TMT Finance. “We’ve seen a number of infrastructure deals and the disposal of non-core assets in Africa over the past 12 months, and that is certainly something which I see progressing at a similar rate this year and beyond.”
Key themes for debate on the 2013 programme also include Telecom Growth Strategies; Policy and Regulation – stimulating investment; Mobile Infrastructure Ownership; Investing in Next Generation Networks – Fixed and Mobile Broadband; CFO Round Table Strategies and Financing African Telecoms.
