With so many social recruitment platforms available these days, many HR leaders have become overwhelmed with options. Now, they don’t have to be. Zao (, a social employee referral management platform, was recently chosen by HR leaders as their platform of choice during Recruit Camp’s New Venture Pitch-Off.

Held at the end of April, Recruit Camp’s New Venture Pitch-Off is a competition voted on by HR leaders from companies such as HBO, Cornell University, Liberty Mutual, J. Crew, and PwC. The HR leaders in attendance agreed that, if they had a $5,000 budget, they would spend it on Zao.

Thirty applications were submitted and four companies were selected to compete. Zao, along with three other organizations, presented its platform to more than 60 in-house recruiting leaders. HR leaders were then asked which platform they’d select if they had a $5,000 budget. In the end, Zao was voted the winner and won free sponsorship to the next Recruit Camp NYC and RIDE (Recruitment Industry Dance Event), which is held in Amsterdam.
