Vista College Killeen invites the community to come to its official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony, on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, from 1 – 3 p.m. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony will take place at 1:15 p.m. with participation from Killeen and Harker Heights Chambers of Commerce. Refreshments will be provided. The campus, located at 1001 S. Fort Hood St., opened its doors January 7 and currently has 140 active students.
Attendees may take a campus tour and visit with current students, who will be stationed in classrooms conducting short demonstrations to illustrate the training they have received. Students from the cosmetology department will demonstrate hair-cutting techniques and healthcare program students will be doing lab work, conducting EKGs and taking blood pressure.
The Vista College team will provide visitors with information on all of the education programs, including Medical Assisting, Medical Insurance Billing & Coding, Business Administration, Business Management, Cosmetology and Network Administration. Vista College is recognized as a Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC) and was recently named one of GI Jobs® Top Military Friendly Schools for 2013.
