Buck Taylor is an actor and artist that promotes interest in the history of the American West, and his new film “The Road to Valhalla” is a documentary focusing on the Civil War and it’s effects on the Kansas and Missouri border. This is the second film narrated by Buck Taylor and the third film of the series exploring this sensitive time in America’s history.
Buck Taylor began filming his narration of “The Road to Valhalla” on April 26th and concluded on the 27th. This is an educational film that will be distributed by Lone Chimney Films. The two previous installments, “Touched by Fire” and “Bloody Dawn” have received amazing reviews and have been aired on PBS as fully accurate and educational documentaries. “Bloody Dawn: The Lawrence Massacre” is actually the other film in the series that was narrated by Buck Taylor. These videos have even been shown in classrooms to educate students on the events of this time, and are regarded as exciting tools to entertain and teach students.
Buck Taylor is best known for his work in Gunsmoke as the deputy Newly O’Brien that was watched from almost a decade in family’s living rooms. Gunsmoke introduced Taylor to millions of viewers every week that were interested in watching the development of Newly, and his weekly adventures. After this important role Buck Taylor participated in other American West projects, and found his artistic calling in the form of painting while on set. Taylor would paint in watercolors during breaks as a hobby and found that he had a real natural talent. He is now known as one of the top American West artists in the world, and his watercolor paintings can be found in collections all over the world. Buck Taylor is also known as the son of legendary actor Dub Taylor, and has always had an interest in the entertainment industry.
