TuneCore announced today the hiring of Peter Rogers to head its Music Publishing Administration in-house Creative. TuneCore Publishing Administration registers songwriter compositions with hundreds of global societies and digital stores, and then collects the revenue from the artists’ music downloads and streams in over 60 countries.

“We are thrilled to have Peter on board as a key team member who will be driving Synch & Master licensing agreements on behalf of our artists. Bringing Creative in-house allows us to control the entire licensing process that results in a top-quality customer experience,” says Jamie Purpora, President of TuneCore Music Publishing Administration. Peter’s knowledge of the music industry, especially his inside knowledge for working with studios, agencies and music supervisors, will be instrumental in helping TuneCore achieve its mission of empowering artists to create, distribute, license and sell their digital content and to collect any sales and royalties due to them.”

Peter joins TuneCore as the former partner of Thunderhoney Creative Music Agency where he successfully spearheaded the sales initiative for this start-up music licensing agency. A top-notch negotiator, Pete sharpened those skills during his tenure at Danny Wimmer Presents and Atlantic Records Group.

Peter has a Masters of Music degree from Yale University and earned his Bachelor of Music degree from New England Conservatory. He resides in Los Angeles, CA.

With the addition of Peter to head in-house Creative, TuneCore has taken another major step in its commitment to expand and enhance the Publishing Administration business to further identify opportunities for all songwriters to monetize their music and be fairly compensated for their compositions.
