The UK's top outdoor clothing and equipment retailer is set to hold tent demonstrations at its stores all over the UK during each weekend in May.

The demo sessions will provide the perfect opportunity for would-be campers to get hints on how to erect tents quickly, details about the range of tents on the market as well as essential maintenance tips.

GO Outdoors has indoor and outdoor tent display areas at a number of its stores, including Basildon, Manchester and Inverness. A number of locations, including GO Outdoors Clydebank, also offer a tent repair service.

GO Outdoors Head of E-Commerce Gavin Garth said: "The summer is getting closer and hopefully there is a bit more settled weather on the way too. Now is a great time for people to dust off their tents and give them a once over before the camping season really gets into full swing.

"Anyone who's new to camping or needs a bit of advice on what kind of set-up would be best for them, just needs to pop along to one of our demonstration sessions to find out about the basics. Camping is a fantastic, low-cost way to experience the best of the British outdoors and our experienced staff will be more than happy to let customers draw on their expertise."

Weekend tent demonstration events are set to be held at GO Outdoors stores across the UK during May. Visit the GO Outdoors website for further details of events at individual stores.

GO Outdoors stocks a huge range of tents and camping equipment from all of the major manufacturers including Vango, Hi Gear, Rab and Coleman.

As well as stocking everything from family tents to their own Go Outdoors festival tents, campers can pick up essentials such as groundsheets, spare tent pegs, camping chairs and down sleeping bags from Go Outdoors. They don’t forget the essentials either; Go Outdoors base layers come in bamboo or merino wool form.
