Just in time for Mother’s Day, Foodily, a social network for recipes, has launched Foodily Originals, to create, save, store and share original recipes to keep family and food traditions alive. Whether it’s re-creating mom’s favorite meal, or saving grandma’s chicken soup, Foodily will help store everything in one place, accessible on-the-go on the iPhone or in the kitchen at Foodily.com. This new release of Foodily is a free app available today in Apple’s iTunes store.

Additionally, with Foodily’s exclusive ingredient auto-complete and voice recognition capabilities, people can quickly and easily add classic family recipes including step-by-step photos for preparation. Foodily performs nutrition and diet type calculations as recipes are added. Once the recipe is posted, Foodily will suggest related recipes for people to browse and automatically sync Foodily Originals to your desktop.
According to eMarketer.com, recipes that are generated by users is one of the most sought-after pieces of food content online.
“Adding recipes into the Foodily network is the number one request from users. And now anyone can, seamlessly integrate personal creations with the millions of recipes on Foodily to create personalized collections that can be shared with friends,” said Hillary Mickell, Chief Tastemaker and Co-Founder of Foodily.
