New Foodily Originals let’s anyone add recipes to the Foodily Network for family and friends to enjoy.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, Foodily, a social network for recipes, has launched Foodily Originals, to create, save, store and share original recipes to keep family and food traditions alive. Whether it’s re-creating mom’s favorite meal, or saving grandma’s chicken soup, Foodily will help store everything in one place, accessible on-the-go on the iPhone or in the kitchen at Foodily.com. This new release of Foodily is a free app available today in Apple’s iTunes store.

To share recipes on Foodily, create a Foodily Original by simply pressing the new “+” button, speak into the iPhone mic to enter the recipe details, snap a photo, and the recipe will be saved forever and shared with friends on Foodily. Additionally, with Foodily’s exclusive ingredient auto-complete and voice recognition capabilities, people can quickly and easily add classic family recipes including step-by-step photos for preparation. Foodily performs nutrition and diet type calculations as recipes are added. Once the recipe is posted, Foodily will suggest related recipes for people to browse and automatically sync Foodily Originals to your desktop.

According to eMarketer.com, recipes that are generated by users is one of the most sought-after pieces of food content online.

With the addition of new Tastemakers such as Every Day with Rachael Ray, Nilla Wafers, Abe’s Market, the Framed Chefs, and Celiac Chicks, users will have more options to curate their own recipe profiles with recipes from celebrity chefs, authors and bloggers. These new Tastemakers join other popular Tastemakers like Cat Cora, Wofgang Puck, Joy the Baker and SELF Magazine. Tastemakers’ original creations will be aggregated in the Originals tab on their Foodily profiles providing people with one click access to their entire recipe collection.
