The Asian Real Estate Association of America’s Global Summit this year was a complete success! AREAA demonstrated how in our global economy today we can build relationships beyond our US borders.

The global world is becoming more local every day and now I know even more ways to adapt these strategies to help our agents and clients here locally and those coming abroad.

The AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America), held a Global Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 21-23, 2013 to showcase the US and Asia real estate and Investment prospects. President and CEO of Real Living Lifestyles, Steve Rodgers, attended the Summit to learn more about the Asian market and how his brokerage can maximize the potential of Asian buyers and sellers in America.

The AREAA provides homeownership for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders across the United States. The conference brought people from all around the world to create a deeper understanding of how to cross the border in real estate business driven by Asian & Canadian investors. This is a market that is growing leaps and bounds.

“The global economy is more connected today than ever before, and real estate is no different. To succeed in the real estate business now and in the future, we all need to build personal and business connections that extend beyond US borders and to all corners of the globe,” commented Jim Park, National Chair & Tanya Rea, Global summit Planning Chair.

Included at the Global Summit were only the best speakers. Ian MacLeod from Luxuryhomes.com spoke on Lifestyles of the Rich & Asian. Brad Inman founder of Inman News showed the crowd where the future of real estate is climbing, educating everyone on how to retool their skills to fluctuate with the current market. Janet Branton from NAR (National Associations of Realtors) was a moderator in one of the breakout session about Who’s Buying Where? There were many representatives from AREAA. Leo Attias and John Wong from AREAA spoke on Doing Business in Asia & Around the World. Some of the other sessions included: Leading Cities for International Buyers, The Secret to Luxury Listings, Investing & Purchasing Distress Assets, and Global Networking.

It was three days of deepening relationships with real estate leaders from across the globe. Rubbing elbows with top global investors, government officials, and major financial institutions. Everyone who was someone attended.
