The gala event and silent auction was held on April 27th at the Atlanta Athletic Club. The theme of the evening was “The British Invasion: A Salute to the Sounds of the Sixties” where guests danced to the best of Brit pop, performed by Atlantis Band and Stella Entertainment and bid on amazing items up for auction.
On behalf of Click Models and J Pervis Talent Agency, artist Janssen Robinson was on hand to record the evening's festivities by creating an original oil painting live at the event. His creation was auctioned off for $10,000 to one lucky gala attendee, which was the highest bid of the night. Another guest generously donated $3600 to have an original oil on canvas painted by the artist at an event of the bidder's choosing.
Over the past twenty years, Atlanta native Janssen Robinson has created a unique visual approach. Janssen’s NOW paintings embrace visual immediacy in their initial creation while still respecting classical technique. The result is a signature style combining elements of impressionism, cubism, and abstraction developed in totality within the time constraints of a single event.
In addition to both paintings, other items donated by Click and J Pervis included a photograph by Bill Curry, a professional photo shoot with hair, makeup, styling and edited images by Krisztian Lonyai, a gift certificate from Ecobel, a Juicy Couture timepiece from the Vinings watch company, a gift certificate from Gotta Dance, a collection of Auburn accessories, a gift certificate from Toni & Guy, and T-shirts from RockScar Love Designs. All of these items plus the two paintings raised over $15,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
“We are honored to support such an amazing organization,” said Brandon Lewis, President of Click Models, “And are happy to continue our commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s life changing work.”
