Pay It Forward has just announced that it has partnered with Kick Start to help raise money for tools that get people out of poverty quickly, cost-effectively and sustainably. KickStart is a unique non-profit social enterprise that gives a “hand up” to farmers in need in Africa. Their main programs are in Kenya, Tanzania, Mali, and Burkina Faso, but KickStart pumps are being sold all across sub-Saharan Africa. On the surface, Pay It Forward’s business model is similar to many other socially minded firms that have been showing up over the past few years.
