It is an opportunity for us to make a difference for an event that is very popular among those we serve. What better way to thank them for choosing SecurTek? We are very proud.
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI (PRWEB) May 10, 2013
SecurTek coralled more stones into its partnership with the Canadian Curling Association today by landing a Diamond Sponsorship for the 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings, presented in Winnipeg later this year. Also known as the Canadian Curling Trials, this prestigious competition will designate the men and women athletes who will wear Canada's colours in Sochi Russia.
The announcement was made at a gathering of some of the sport's most enthusiastic fans at a SecurTek national conference in Charlottetown, where monitoring industry partners and dealers huddled to plan the year ahead, explains Director of Marketing Kristy Cmoc:
"It is a big deal for SecurTek. We are excited about the chance to meet the fans, a great many of which are SecurTek customers. It is an opportunity for us to make a difference for an event that is very popular among those we serve. What better way to thank them for choosing SecurTek? We are very proud."
A sentiment echoed by Canadian curling officials, who expressed appreciation for this investment into the event's success, according to Director of Event Operations and Media Warren Hansen:
"The Canadian Curling Association would like to extend a sincere thank-you to SecurTek for its support in the past and we are looking forward to the involvement of SecurTek with the 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings."
The Roar of the Rings -- in 1997 known as the Olympic Curling Trials -- has come full circle for the province of Manitoba, as the city of Brandon hosted the first edition of the event in 1997, which yielded the Canadian representation at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games.
From SecurTek CEO Barry Rogers' perspective, committing to a sport with strong community roots like curling is only fitting:
“Sponsoring an event like the Roar of the Rings is a good partnership for our company. We can appreciate all of the hard work, long hours and sacrifices made by team athletes to reach this level of competition and we know that the City of Winnipeg, the host committee, and its dedicated volunteers are working just as hard to extend them and the fans a world-class welcome in December."
The 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings will let itself be heard from December 1 to 8 at Winnipeg's MTS Centre. Ticket packages are already available to watch Canada’s best teams compete. Visit http://www.curling.ca for details.
