For 2013, Christina Aguilera has set out to empower women to feel irresistible with her new fragrance, Red Sin. It is all about making a woman feel seductive, captivating, and proud of her femininity.

Along with her glamorous and charismatic charm, Christina is known for her love of the colour red, crediting the colour with having the capability to change the way a woman feels.            Red represents the transformation from soft and innocent to powerful and alluring. With its deep, intense hue, a woman in red can command the attention in any room.

“I believe red is more than just a colour,” says Christina. “Wearing red can evoke emotions and make you feel sexy and confident. I created Red Sin with my love of the colour red in mind – it can make you feel empowered, desirable and simply irresistible.”

Red Sin is the perfect finishing touch for the woman who wants to reveal the tempting seductress within. Simply applying the luscious scent can create the feeling that anything is possible. Red Sin can give a powerful confidence that celebrates being a woman.

THE FRAGRANCE
Red Sin is a sensuous fragrance, inspired by Christina’s desire to celebrate the beauty of femininity and the power of the colour red. Red Sin unveils the seductive side that lies within every woman.

Red Sin captures the senses with its delicious red top and middle notes. Delightfully sweet, the opening notes create the feeling of sensuality with red apple tantalizing you through its crisp, naturally delectable scent. Bringing a bit of sexiness to the top note is velvety and fiery cinnamon, adding warmth and spice.

The fragrance’s middle note brings a soft touch with red cyclamen. Also known as the “sacred blossom of love”, the light floral scent escaping from the sensual flower has been historically used in various love elixirs.

Musk, the trademark note in all of Christina’s fragrances, creates a smooth, irresistible base. The allure of Red Sin comes alive with a creamy, exotic sandalwood and rich, spicy red ginger, making a woman just too delicious to resist.

THE DESIGN
Fashioned with details that evoke a seductive attitude, the design of Red Sin reflects the sensation of being sensual and enticing. Packaged in flirty red and innocent white, it elicits the feelings of sweet temptation.

Accented with a delicate red lace, the flacon stays true to what has become a signature of Christina’s fragrances, with its shape mirroring the tantalizing curves of a woman’s body. A black bow on the bottle adds the final touch of femininity to the design.

THE CAMPAIGN
The fragrance campaign captures the story behind Red Sin: provocative, magnetic and excessively feminine. Photographer and director Mark Liddell and fashion stylist, Simone Harouche bring to life the transformation Red Sin represents, unveiling the power that lies within every woman.

“I thought Mark was a great choice to shoot the Red Sin campaign,” said Christina. “Since I had worked with him prior, there was a comfort and trust that he would be able to bring to life the way a woman can feel with fragrance: incredibly seductive and irresistible.”

Since the emotion behind the campaign was so sensual and intimate, Christina felt it would lend a lot to shoot in her own home. By using her own surroundings, Christina was really able to open up and channel her inner seductive side.

The campaign opens in black and white, evoking the innocence and demure look of Christina, almost the feeling of waking up right next to her in her bed. After some Red Sin, the shot instantly comes to life in a bold red hue, showing the empowering effect of Red Sin. The spot ends with a shot of her signature heels leaving the rest to the imagination, which is just the feeling the fragrance should evoke….leaving the rest to the imagination.
