Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 12, 2013
The Partners Group, LLC, a leading attorney placement, staffing and document review company, announced today that Cristina León, Esq., its Senior Director of Attorney Recruiting, was sworn in as President of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) on May 9, 2013.
“We couldn’t be any prouder of Cristina,” said David Gruskin, President of the company. “She is passionate about issues impacting women in the legal profession, is a natural born leader and an amazing person, and will be fantastic at the helm of GAWL. She also exemplifies our company’s legacy of commitment to our Bar and community, over and above being just vendors to the legal industry. As a core value, we try and stay true to our roots as lawyers, and give back, in a sense, to our client base.” Gruskin is former Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyer (ACYL) President and also served as Secretary of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyer Division. Fellow company-founder Paul Talmadge is a former Atlanta Bar President and also served as ACYL President.
Ms. León graduated with Honors from Georgia Tech and from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She most recently practiced as a commercial litigator at Schulten Ward & Turner, and previously served as a member of the Motions Unit at the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals’ Staff Attorneys Office. She has worked for The Partners Group since 2007, primarily focused on placing attorneys in permanent and substantive contract positions with Georgia law firms and companies.
Ms. León has been a member of the Board of GAWL for the past six years, holding a variety of leadership positions. She is a recipient of the GAWL Volunteer, GAWL Visionary, and the GAWL President’s Awards.
